Well small update to start the year off for my car.
-I am getting a full set of Ion wheels from a Saturspot member, sending last payment at the end of the month, so I *should* be able to get new tires on them for spring...
-If the finances allow this month, I will also be getting new front rotors\pads. A rear disc swap will folow, but right now its the least of my worries. Should I bother getting slotted? or should I just opt for OEM?
My car has had some recent unwanted "body work" in the last month. It got hit in my work parking lot, drivers fender cracked up pretty bad. Unfortunately it was a hit and run, so ill be footing the bill on that one. Yesterday, "due to the weather" (6in of snow) the drivers rear door got backed into as well. Luckly the lady left a note blaming her boyfriend on backing her car into mine, but did leave her number and we are meeting tomarow to discuss things. If I play my cards right, I will try and get a new fender out of the deal too. Something allong the lines of, get money for a painted door, use money for primered door and fender. Seince Im going to be getting a new front bumper eventually and getting both the front and rear bumpers painted, might as well throw in a door and fender while Im at it!
*shrug* it was something to post... Tony

Wow what a couple of days you have had!!
I love my slotted rotors and they do feel like that they have helped my braking. But I would fix the body before worrying about the rotors right now.

Heh, yea its be fun!
well, the only reason brakes are ahed of body work right now is my STOCK (96000mi) rotors are getting quite thin, and same w/ pads. Who needs rear brakes anyway?

It freaking sucks to have your car punched. Hope it all works out well. What did the wheels cost you. I've been thinking of selling the ones off of my wifes 07. d**n and I have a set of once turned S-CAR rotors sitting around to bad your so far off.

I feel bad posting the price, cuz it was a steal, 200 shipped. They got tires on them, pretty worn, but hey for that price who cares!
THanks for the comments guys, more than I got on the Spot. I hope I can get the rotors....well see its going to be tight. The car needs an Oil Change badly, I was planing on either doing MMO soak or seafoam(?) on the next oil change. You guys got anyexpierience w/ MMO or this Seafoam?

I used Seafoam on my car and used some in my engine oil and it worked ok but seafoam works its magic when you mix it with your gas. And it helped my gas mileage a lot.

The only spot I found that carried seafoam is O'Reillys. But yes you pour like a 1/4 of the bottle in the crankcase and another 1/4 or 1/2 in the fuel tank. It tells you how much goes where in the instructions.

seafoam also works as a combustion chamber cleaner, but that makes ALOT of smoke

Hey guys, another update
I recievied my rims from TwitzdIon, I stuck one on while I had the right front off replacing my alternator. It looked really sharp, I cant wait for spring....and my body-color bumpers. No way I am putting spiffy wheels on my car right now. I would just look like a ricer, beat-up boddy and nice wheels, no thanks.
I did seafoam the thing, ran like ass for a while, now seems to run fine, Ill watch my mileage closely the next few tanks.
Oh yea, I put new alternator on as well, didnt get the chance to replace my belt/bypass the AC. I ran out of time because I picked up a shift at work for a friend. That will be next, maybe not next weekend, but for sure this month. I dont know if I will be able to get rotors/pads as soon as I hoped, well see.
Turns out the intermittent SES light was a P0117 CTS code, 'circuit low imput'. Would this explain running really really rough at cold start up? certianly explains why my temp gague stopped moving a few weeks ago...Any ideas? a simple replacment is in order?

Yeah my car at first ran like ass too the first time i put it through the engine oil. I believe it is because it is cleaning all the carbon build up off and so the engine is getting clogged and shooting it out. But in the end my car ran a lot better.
I can't help with the electrical part. Never ran into that problem.
And great choice on waiting to put the wheels on. Especially since it is winter time and wheels get ruined really quick with the salt.
